Fresca is really the forgotten soft drink. Up until a few years ago, I wasn't even aware that they still made it, and I'm sort of a soft drink nut. (Side note: do they still make Tab?) But they do still make it, and they've even updated the logo! It's always been one of my favorite soft drinks. It has a great grapefruit taste, it's low calorie (but doesn't taste it), and is perfect for those hot summer days and nights. Here's a recipe I found. Sounds good to me:
Sparkling Grape Drink
4 cups grape juice, diluted
2 cups of lemonade, diluted
2 cups of Fresca
Combine grape juice and lemonade. Mix well. Add ice cubes. Just before serving, add Fresca. Not sure why the grape juice and lemonade has to be diluted since you're adding so much ice, so I'd try it both ways and see which way tastes better.

What about Collins Mix? (I believe it used to be a Canada Dry product...)

My guess is that diluting the grape and lemon reduces the tartness and acidity. I plan to try it both ways and see which I prefer.
Of course, being diabetic, I must sip this concoction sparingly. Therefore I will use my family and friends as guinea pigs.

They do still make Tab. There's a Tab energy drink on the market now, too.

A mixture of Fresca and pomegranate juice (I've used Pom Wonderful brand juice, about 2 parts Fresca to 1 part juice) makes for a really refreshing summertime drink. The first time I tried it, I was just amazed at how delicious the mixture was!

at least where I live, they now sell Fresca in three flavors - original, citrus peach and black cherry, i think (not sure why so many sodas come in that flavor, i think it's gross). Target carries it as well as some of the grocery stores.
Speaking of target, they also carry 12-pack cans of Jones sodas which comes in a lot of yummy flavors like green apple. I'm glad soda manufacturers are starting to venture into new flavors that don't involve adding something else to cola. Now if only someone would come out with a diet grape soda, I'll be happy.

MAJOR Fresca fan here! Going back to the 60s when you could see the grapefruit pulp in suspension.
It's not quite as wonderful as it was then but still unique and really refreshing!

Fresca is awesome! It is not available in Cleveland, but I can get it in ALL the surrounding counties. What's up with that? The grapefruit taste is much more pleasant than Squirt, and reminds me of Canada Dry's WINK from the '60's and '70's.

Big bottle of Fresca sitting on my desk right now. It's my wake-up drink in the morning, and my mixer at night. I turned the guys renovating my apartment onto it, too. Their shopping list always has joint compound and Fresca now!

Forgot important Fresca idea! On a hot summer morning, try a scoop of fruit sorbet in your morning Fresca. Yum. Also recommended for hangovers, no matter what the weather is.

MikeMac, collins mixer and bitter lemon are available in my local Key Food, which says to me that they are available pretty much anywhere. Bitter orange I've only been able to find in Maine.

Thank you to Dave BR for the suggestion of combining Fresca with pomegranate juice. It's fantastic! I had some yesterday after I got miserably hot from gardening and it was sooo refreshing.
I'm thinking of whirling up some of it in my ice cream maker as a summer sorbet.
