Los Angeles Magazine's Top 10 Sushi Restaurants

sushiSushi is a hot topic here at Slashfood, whether we're talking about types of fish, my personal distaste for overly creative rolls, ore "reviews" of various sushi bars around the globe. Recently, Dakota asked which place has the best sushi in LA, and the May 2006 issue of Los Angeles Magazine has their top ten choices. Agree? Disagree?

AND, the quality of the fish is really no different than a lot of other places I've been to. So, I see no reason to pay more for the same thing + loud people + crowded, cramped space.

I have to throw a shout out to Nippon in Toluca Lake. It's says something when every single sushi bar I go to gets compared with my sushi bar. Best sushi period. Katsu-ya? They are known for their spatiality dishes. They are good, but fresh fish on some rice and a beer is all I need.
