Disney Drops McDonald's

It's a happy day for anyone concerned about overweight kids. In more McDonald's news, Disney is ending its relationship with the fast food chain amid concerns about childhood obesity, according to the Los Angeles Times.  For the last decade, the studio marketed its movies by stuffing little Nemo and 101 Dalmatian figurines into Happy Meals. The deal, with netted Disney $100 million, will end this summer following the release of Pixar's "Cars" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest."

All three of them are perfect in terms of height/weight ratio. Food is not the culprit. The people who can't say no to 20 meals of fast food a week, don't go outside except to get in their cars and don't eat anything not processed are. Accountability is whats wrong with so many aspects of our culture. If you don't want to do it, don't, and stop blaming others because you do it anyway....

Everyone wants to blame someone else for their problems. Fat people only need to look in the mirror to find the cause of their disgusting obesity. Take responsibility for your stupidity instead of blaming everything and everyone else.

Moderation is the issue here. A couple of cookies a day is good, but a dozen cookies a day has a bad effect. Don't let kids eat unhealthy foods 7 days/week, or sit watching television for at least half a day. Then turn around and point fingers at the restaurants or any particular program on television.

I don't see why Disney, and other companies, need to 'disassociate' themselves from other partners/companies just because people won't take responsibility for their own actions or their kids'. Besides, McDonalds has other choices other than Coke & fries-there's milk & water, and apple slices in place of fries! I admit I'm disappointed in Disney backing down and doing the 'politically correct' thing! Also, I wonder if that means that the McDonalds restaurant at Downtown Disney, in Orlando, or the McDonalds 'hosted' food stands in the California Disney parks, will 'drop' Disney? I SERIOUSLY doubt it!
