As we announced a few weeks ago, there's a new multi-blog event Mixology Monday - as hosted by cocktail blog The Art of Drink. This round the theme is "coffee," which instantly reminded me of a friend's concoction he rustled up one evening a few weeks ago. It was a mix of coffee liqueur and hot coffee; I think he made it up on the day but when pressed he gave the following measurements but was at a loss to explain exactly what was so 'Ukrainian' about it...
Ukrainian Coffee
- 1 shot coffee liqueur
- ½ shot Grand Marnier
- ½ shot Amaretto
- top up with hot filter coffee
- cream
Mix the four ingredients in a glass and using the back of a spoon float cream over the top. A bit like an Irish coffee only Ukrainian...
