The Observer Food Monthly is to enter the podcasting arena with a series of sponsored recipes by Giorgio Locatelli.
The masterclass series on creating his own dishes will be recorded from his home kitchen and will appear in the Sunday newspapers food supplement each month until August. The Observer is entering the podcasting arena for the first time with a sponsored series of recipes by a top Italian chef.
The podcast is sponsored by organic soup maker Seeds of Change, which has partnered with the supplement to run a food photography competition judged by Locatelli, and takes advantage of iTunes' capability to display photographs of ingredients synchronised with the audio. There is a RSS feed too. The first podcast is available online (think it was in last weeks issue which I forgot to buy) and details pre-dinner nibbles 'Bagna Cauda a traditional and very popular dish throughout Italy, that you would serve as your guests arrive for a meal with an aperitif'.
