Today is Cuatro de Mayo, which means tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo! You could go to your local Irish pub for your regular happy hour, but that would just be so...wrong.
My monkey is testing out margaritas, chips and salsa in preparation for Cinco de Mayo at a Mexican-inspired bar in Los Angeles. The place serves plenty of food, and has a festive cantina/sports bar feel, with bright primary colored decor, Mexican beer banners, and neon-lit signs for Dos Equis and Miller Genuine Draft on the walls. There is a small patio that spills out onto the sidewalk, and whether you sit there to see who's waiting in line to get in, or sit there to be seen and envied, is up to you. I wouldn't say it's my favorite place in the world, as it also has that sort of "Frat House Spring Break in Cancun" vibe, especially since there is quite a bit of overflow from the popular sports bar a few doors away, but it's fun nonetheless.
Where is my Monkey having a margarita in LA tomorrow? (The picture is a mojito - but that's mine).
