Apparently in the context of this list coolness is not directly proportional to taste. Beer isn't necessarily good or even cool just because it comes from Germany. The Spatens in particular are nearly as sour tasting as American corporate brews.
I'm not a beer snob but I have tasted many beers in my life. Not all beers are created equal.

Err, isn't Boddingtons from Manchester, specifically the Strangeways brewery?
It is, after all, "The Cream of Manchester"

Some friends and I did a blind tasting, and Grolsch and Pilsner Urquell both consistently scored about the same as American mass-produced bilge (i.e., just above Miller Lite). I suppose either are fine if you're in the mood for a forgettable pilsner, but they're definitely not value for your money.
At least Forbes got one thing right: Sierra Nevada = pure deliciousness. Mmm, I could go for three or four right now.
