I'm having a very economic time here at the Milken Global Economics Conference, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. While
most of the conference has been, well, very economic, there have been a few food highlights. Monday, I got to
meet Mireille Guiliano, the author of French
Women Don't Get Fat. Though I didn't get a chance to ask her what she thinks about French women now getting a little
fatter, I did get to exchange
a few words with the author between book signings.
The funniest thing Mireille mentioned was that all doctors must have been French in a previous lifetime, because everything they are saying now based on their research, etc., is what French women have known for years. It made me laugh.
Mireille is charming, funny, and very interested in making sure that her readers understand the principles in her book. Have any of our Slashfood readers read the book? What did you think? Has it affected the way you eat?
