Even though I think it's silly, I still love this banana
slicer from Cereality, the popular quick-fix breakfast cereal chain. All you
have to do is peel your banana and press the slicer through it, producing a full banana of neat slices, ready to be
tossed into cereal or onto a bowl of oatmeal. Before you dismiss it, is it really that much different from an avocado
slicer or egg slicer? This gadget is an easy
way to save time in the mornings and add something delicious to your food while getting an extra serving of
fruit. It's only $7.99 and it's versatile, too! If breakfast isn't your thing, you can toss them into a frying
pan with butter and brown sugar to make a dessert topping.

'Hooker Teacher' Forced To Resign, Now Can't Find Work

4-25-2006 @9:26AM Ethan said... Well, I wouldn't exactly compare it to an egg or avocado slicer because a banana is much firmer than either of those two things and thus easier to slice. Actually, the problem that I have with things like this is that the improved convenience in performing the task is typically offset by the extra time to clean the tool. I find this especially true of a garlic press. Cleaning a knife takes a few seconds, a garlic press...not so much.

However, I am usually able to stop myself from buying dedicated food-item slicers, choppers and formers, for the reasons you mentioned, and more. What does buying them say about me? Am I incapable of cutting with a knife? To form a hamburger patty, do I need to use a mold?
Furthermore, will I even be able to find it in the drawer? To me, they seem destined to be future yard sale wares, but for those who enjoy them, more power to ya.
