The buxom country-singing beauty is putting together a new cookbook, Dolly's Dixie Fixin's. The 125-recipe book will include Dolly's own recipes for things like banana pudding, recipes from her mother and mother-in-law, from her Dixie Stampede and other restaurants at her Dollywood amusement parks, and from things she has eaten while during her 40 years of concert touring.
Proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will go toward the Imagination Library via her Dollywood Foundation. The Imagination Library provides books to children. The books can only be purchased from Dollywood or the Dixie Stampede restaurants, and on several select websites. Purchases before Septemeber 1, 2006 are qualified to win a backyard barbecue and bluegrass festival with Dolly as the guest star.
