Korean pine nuts can help curb appetite

I've always seen nuts as a healthful snack, but have long thought they were a strict no-no for dieters. Seems that may not always be the case.

A new study reveals that Korean pine nuts (pictured) can help curb your appetite. A lipid compound in the nuts helps to produce a feeling of fullness, according to Dr. Jennifer L. Causey of Lipid Nutrition. Full disclosure: the Idaho-based company manufactures PinnoThin pine oil, which it used in the study.

All I know is it's too bad the pignoli cookies I've been scarfing down at my local pastry shop are made with Italian pine nuts.
