Starbucks is releasing their new Green Tea
Latte in the US today. The green tea lattes are already available at many other Starbucks locations throughout the
world. Unlike their Green Tea Frappuccino from last summer, which was made with a premixed base, the tea latte is built
just like a regular latte - with freshly steamed milk. They are flavored with matcha, which is powdered green tea, a a
splash of melon-flavored syrup. If you like the flavor of the green tea and don't want to cover it up with the melon
flavor, take Hungry Girl's advice and ask
for your latte to be made with half the amount of syrup. Alternatively, try vanilla syrup instead of the melon
altogether.
Just please don't ask the baristas to add a shot of espresso to your tea drink. I know that I have seen a lot of people do it, but it's just not right.

They were giving out samples at Rockefeller Center this morning. Mine had a ring of bright green around the milk foam, like some kind of pesto.
The verdict: sweet green tea and milk don't mix. Nice try, though.

I think in Asia people drink green tea with milk. At least in some Asian/Asian American businesses (bubble tea, etc.) they seem to have these milky tea things. I think Brits drink milk in their tea too right? But I guess maybe not green tea.

I had one when they first came out in cali and it was really bad. I dont think I finished my grande version. I talked with a barista the next visit about the drink and the general feeling was that not many people like it at all.
I do like the green tea frap though, thats tasty with whip on top.

I stop at Starbucks at least twice a week and was thrilled that they had a new hot tea. This new stuff was so bad that I drove back around through the drive thru and asked to exchange it for something else and was told that the general public DOES NOT like this new product.

Well i live on an army base in south korea and they have tons of those kids of drinks here: lattes, frapps, chais, and many others. Now you would think that only the koreans on base would like them but almost everybody i know loves them. I'm in high school and you always see the kids walking aroulnd with them. sometimes they can't even keep a stock of it at starbucks here. now i've never tried them but all around they're pretty popular here.

Chai is soo good. I buy it at the grocery which has a wonderful brand that infuses it with soymilk made by Bolthouse. It's made in Cali's San Joaqin valley.. The best Jerry, the best! Wish I had tried their drink when I lived near a Starbucks.

i go into starbucks a lot and ended up having 5 or 6 of those green tees that they were giving out to get free green tea lattes. i was so excited-i spend a lot of money in there-to be getting a free drink. when i got the green tea latte-mine with soy milk-it was bright green and had a funky smell coming off it. i lvoe green tea, but this thing was repulsive. i took one sip and unfortunately, threw it away. i hate wasting things, but that was something that should have never been made ion the first place. my apologies to yall who like these.

I LOVE the new green tea lattes, especially if you get them with coconut syrup instead of the melon. Try to look past its admittedly weird color and taste it.

I'm a starbucks freak.......that being said. How in the hell can they sell this thing? We were given a sample this weekend and ending up spattering in on the blacktop. It tastes like they gathered up grass clippings and whipped it in a blender with milk. Or as my fiancee said......" tastes like cow cud".

Everyone I know will be boycotting your business, due to the way you handled the soldier..Not all of us agree with the war either, but you support our troops, not the war. My son will be over there soon. You don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I went in for one a few days ago and I when it was ready it was iced. I was dissappointed and asked, "doesn't it come hot?" and they said, oh yeah they do it both ways and made another. Since they were just going to dump the iced one, I asked to take it too. I tried both. Hot; EGADS, bleh. Cold; pretty good! If you like green tea ice-cream (maybe a San Francisco thing, but I've had that since I was a kid), this is good stuff. Milk and green tea work together if you're having something where the producer (or you) know how to do it. I have a favorite restaurant that makes green tea milkshakes (out of green tea ice cream)

I tried the green tea latte, didn't care for it at all! I love green tea but the addition of the warm milk just made it taste terrible. I don't recommend it!

If you are speaking of Starbuck's refusing to send coffee because they are against the war....that is a hoax. Please visit Snopes to read the entire story. It never happened. Starbuck's might be a huge corporation that is driving the little guy out of business, but the story about them not sending coffe because they do not support the war is a hoax.

Starbucks is a COFFEE joint!!! repeat...Starbucks is a COFFEE JOINT!
Why would they mess around with their original concept?
I know that as Americans we should expand our palates, but...as a whole...our nation is a nation of COFFEE DRINKERS!!
After all, we DID throw all that tea into the Boston Harbor...lol!
