Customizable beverages

What you see here is a customizable soda bottle from Ipifini, a Massachusetts-based research and development company. The idea is that consumers can customize the liquid in these "Programmable Liquid Containers" by pressing the buttons on surface to release different types of flavorings, as well as caffeine. The bottles would have five buttons and could create up to 32 different flavors, according to a company press release. Ipifini also has plans to use packaging like this for customizable paint containers with dozens of pigments.

Hmm, I wonder what buttons do you have to push to get a salmon-flavored soda? :) A reminder of the holiday flavors from Jones Soda is here: http://zorba.members.winisp.net/2005/11/salmon-flavored-soda.html
