One of my favorite breakfast items is pancakes. I love the traditional fluffy buttermilk pancakes with nothing but pure maple syrup. However, I have been known to gush over a "flavored" pancake now and then.
This is just a gripe, but why do restaurants think that "[insert fruit or nut here] pancakes" can mean plain pancakes with a few measly, syrupy slices of fruit tossed on top? If I order strawberry pancakes, I like pancakes that have strawberries in them. If blueberries come as a canned syrup plopped on top, the offering should be "pancakes with shriveled canned blueberries on top."
Thank you to all those restaurants that make fruit or nut pancakes with the ingredients inside.

I feel the same way about pancakes that I do about cheesecake. A Strawberry Cheesecake is NOT a plain cheesecake with strawberry topping on it, etc.
