Frappuccino rumors

Starbucks has a few new drinks in the works for this summer. Actually, the company is always testing new drinks in different parts of the country. Some are limited release - like macchiatos flavored with maple in the Northeast U.S. and coconut mocha in Hawaii - and others are destined, if successful, to be part of a much larger rollout. Creme Brulee and Blackberry Green Tea flavors, supposedly, will be released at the end of spring, and Starbucks is experimenting with soy-based Frappuccinos for non-dairy drinkers. The Green Tea Frappuccino is said to have blackberry puree or syrup, similar to the one added to the Strawberries and Cream frappuccino, added to the base, and the drink will be topped with a blackberry drizzle.

Although I wish that the maple flavor would make its way west....

I loved the Green Tea all last summer, and in all honesty, I had forgotten to even begin to look for it. But when I walked in this morning, much to my surprise, it was back...with a blackberry kick. The same green tea taste still permeates, but the beginning and end of each sip has a just a hint of berry. Indpls has been a test market for some time, as I believe we had the Grani before most places as well. If you loved the GT Frap, give this new one a try.

(that's the rumor anyway) I would believe that it definately won't be a year round deal as I tried to purchase a bottle of blackberry syrup today, and it's not available for retail...they only do that to limited time flavors. :(
