Energy drinks are an explosive market, especially popular among young people, including teenagers and college
students. Coffee has always been the morning pick-me-up of choice, but the producers of energy drinks are trying to
muscle into the morning market. Monster Khaos is an energy drink that contains 70% juice – more than many
processed juice drinks. It is lightly carbonated and lower in carbs than some other ultra-sugary drinks, with flavors
of orange, peach and pineapple. Monster Energy drinks have a
“natural” energy formula, which includes ginseng and guarana, not caffeine. Will the fruity energy drinks
be able to compete with good, old-fashioned coffee? Perhaps a better question, since they are already popular in the
youth market, is whether they will be able to complete with specialty coffee drinks, like mocha lattes and
caramel-hazelnut cappuccinos.Energy drinks for breakfast

I just can't stomach carbonated drinks in the morning. I don't know what it is, but I guess even though I'm (relatively) young, I'll remain in the tea/coffee group for my morning invigoration.
Hate to break it to you, but Guarana is a source of caffeine.
Canada is currently hammering out new legislation to cover Guarana, because our current rules only require the listing of caffeine from coffee beans on ingredient lists, which means manufacturers are spiking beverages with guarana-derived caffeine and feeding dangerous ( 250 mg +) levels of caffeine to unwitting consumers.

Yeah; I've never like carbonated drinks, especially not in the morning. So I guess Monster energy drinks will never replace coffee for me. There's also just something really soothing about starting the day with a big warm mug of coffee.

Guarana overdose is the problem, like coffee overdose. And also the mixture with alcohol and guarana is not good cause each ingredients have opposit effect, depressor and anti-depressor...
