Last month I posted about the recall of
the Krups Orchestro Espresso Maker due to a fire hazard involving eroded electrical connectors. This week, a similar
recall was issued on the Capresso C1000 Automatic Coffee Center, made by the same manufacturer, Eugster/Frismag, of
Switzerland. As with the Krups model, the electrical connectors on the Capresso machine are prone to eroding and
causing fires. Four fires have been reported so far, none with injuries, according to a release from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission. The CPSC estimates that there are roughly 28,000 machines affected by this recall.Another espresso machine recall

I've never owned anything more than a standard drip coffee maker. I caught the bug of one-cup, ad-hoc coffee/espresso making after my office put in a Flavia machine.
I looked at the Krups Orchestro Espresso Maker and anted one real bad, but didn't want to spend all that $$$. After two months of thoughtful consideration, I eventually got the Braun Tassimo Machine.
When I originally saw it, Amazon had it listed at $129. A month later I decided to buy it and notced that Amazon now had it listed at $169. What gives?
I ended up buying it direct from Braun at $169 with 4-eeeeeaaaaasy monthly payments. The problem was that it took three weeks to sip[, but thye threw in two steel travel mugs and two free packs of coffee discs.
Works great so far!
Cheers,
J.Ho
