You've been reading our ramblings here at Slashfood for months now, so isn't it about time you get to know us? Over the next few weeks, we'll be playing 20 questions with our Slashfood bloggers, just so you can see what kind of insanity is cooking in our brains. And kitchens. First up, it's 24 year-old Nick Vagnoni, originally from Key West, now in Sarasota, FL. Nick is one of the Slashfood OG.

I'm Cookin' Here (lately in need of some TLC)
What is your day job, or rather, what do you do when you're not food blogging?
Food columnist, restaurant critic, freelance writer
How long have you been blogging with slashfood and what is your favorite post?
Roughly eight months. Favorite post: maybe the "last bite syndrome"

Photography, playing and collecting music, bocce, crossword puzzles
Not every foodie does, but do you cook?
Why, yes. Yes I do.
What is your most prized utensil/gadget in the kitchen?
An underused but very ominous cleaver
List three things in your refrigerator right now.
Almond milk, strawberries and Sriracha hot chili sauce

Osso buco maybe?
What is the last thing you ate?
A pumpernickel bagel with cream cheese, lox, onion, lettuce and tomato
Confession time – what do you eat that will get you banned from Slashfood?
Um, my young? No. I don't know. McDonald's fries and a cup of ice from their soda fountain.
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Fruit
Your Mom makes the best _____.
Lasagna (and she's Jewish.)

I don't really like having other people cook for me in my own kitchen.

My family.
Your drink of choice?
With food, just a glass of water. As for alcoholic drinks, Myers's rum with pineapple juice, or Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock
Where was your best restaurant dining experience?
I don't think I can single one out. I really enjoyed Lupa in New York City though.
The worst?
When I was young and foolish I think I ordered shrimp scampi somewhere in South Dakota.
Do you want fries with that?
Hell yeah.
What foods do you think should be banished from existence?
Marshmallow Peeps (bracing for the backlash here)
What do you see as the biggest "thing" in food for the coming year?
I'm not much for predicting trends, but maybe exotic and nutritious tropical fruits like tamarind, dragonfruit and acai.
