Paula Deen drinks butter

Paula Deen loves butter with an almost disturbing enthusiasm. She puts butter in just about every single dish she makes and the recipes, by and large, taste pretty darn good. It's hard to go wrong with bacon and butter, as Paula knows. This is the woman who made a bread pudding out of Krispy Kreme donuts, topped with butter rum sauce, after all. But it is not impossible to go wrong and it seems that Paula finally crossed the line. She drank a bowl of melted butter and TVgasm managed to capture the astounding feat with a few choice screenshots.

I hope Paula has a good cardiologist.

She assured the concerned audience members that her cholesterol and blood pressure are fine, and that she's very happy that she's genetically predisposed to being able to eat lots of butter. I'm paraphrasing, of course, but that's the gist.

I suppose Julia Child lived approximately forever, and she used so much butter she made Jacques Pepin raise an eyebrow. I'm not sure whether to admire or fear such fat metabolizing abilities.

Until I've seen pictures and know that those of you that made that comment are of "smaller than average weight"I'm going to guess it was just someone who's bigger than Paula trying to make themselves feel better.

Not only that but since when is drinking butter so gross ummm hello have you seen some of the things people drink these days?

She's a hard worker, has wonderful sons and is an inspiration to those of us who have had to struggle through life supporting, educating and raising our chldren alone. I admire how she is such a "survivor" and what she has done in life and what a chef! Go get 'em Paula -- you're the best.
