We
always enjoy hearing about strange new soft drinks here at Slashfood, and the most recent one to show up on my radar is
Celsius. Its claim to fame is that its ingredients (which include caffeine)
increase your body's metabolism, thereby helping you burn calories. Elite FX, the Delray Beach, Fla. company that makes
Celsius, cites a study where the beverage was shown to increase metabolism by 12 percent over a three-hour period. They
say you can lose 17 pounds a year, just by drinking a bottle a day for a year. I'm always skeptical of ways to lose
weight without exercise, aren't you? Nevertheless, Celsius recently won "best new energy drink" from Beverage Industry Magazine, according to the Boca Raton News.

You obviously have a serious problem to make you attack people who struggle with weight issues. I think a little self-examination is in order. You should ask yourself, "Why am I a jerk?" or "Why do I feel the need to be mean and hateful to others?" or "Why don't I have any friends?" The answer to these questions may help you improve your obvious lack of personality.

Face it ..There is no "quick fix" for losing weight and keeping it off. What concerns me is what else is in this drink that increases metabolism besides caffeine. Many metabolism boosting ingredients can be dangerous for people with high blood pressure or heart problems.

Previous comments called this a hoax, but if they researched it a little then they would realize that it raises your metabolism by more than 12% for three hours. My body burns about 2000 calories a day due, because muscle is always burning calories. If i drank a celsius once every 3 hours i would end the day with and extra 240 calories burnt. It is obviously a breakthrough in technology and why people dont accept that, I dont know.

She is currently training for a half marathon. She tends to exercise excessively and eats less than what ww recommends. Her weight loss does not always show on the scale although she looks great. (I know that muscle weighs more than fat.) I'm wondering if someone who has used the product would think that a higher calorie burn would result if she were to drink a bottle of Celcius before she runs and if so, how long before her run.

Many people do have reasons, medical and especially medical and medicine related reasons for weight problems.
I have to continually watch my weight and probably excercise more than most. I am 49 years old, currently 10 lbs over what I want to weigh and have weighed as much as 25 lbs more than I weigh now. All on a 5'8 1/2 frame.
O yeah I have also during this time been a nationly ranked amature iron man triathlete. Also am a long distance road biker and endurance horse back rider. Not saying any of this because of wanting to toot my horn but just to say that weight gain can happen to anyone. My problem,at least in major part is related to the medicine I take as a result of long time asthma problems. Steroids can really be harmful to your hormonal system.
How about the drink? Has anyone used it for a long time and been able to also cut out some food at the same time without a drop in energy? That may be its best use.
btw, not all lawyers are jerks, I am not and finished law school before"finished law school was born.

I personally like the drink but not on the fact that they say it burns calories. If it does then it is an added bonus for me.
I basically purchase this drink on the energy side of the spectrum. Mainly because I was seeking a drink that I can stand the taste of and enjoy the kick of energy that I had always seek in Monster drinks and other energy drinks. The only problem is I am tired of the vitamin/citrus flavor I would taste in other drinks but it became an exception to get the energy kick.
Celsius has a unique flavor then any other energy drinks out there. It doesn't have that vitamin taste and they have flavors besides some basic citrus flavor. The flavor wasn't sacrificed with the Vitamin B's and C it has in it. You can't even taste the green tea. Cola taste like cola, orange taste like orange, wild berry has a hint of rasberry flavor, lemon/lime is lemon lime and ginger-ale is unique.
I would rank this drink as my number one energy drink.
AS for burning calories? Sure it does. Drink it for the energy and get out there and start walking. The only magic this liquid does have is energy.
The great thing about Celsius is that it broke the mode for flavors.
