Florida restaurateurs may soon have their say in whether or not dogs can dine outside with their owners.
Rep. Sheri McInvale, R-Orlando has introduced a bill that would create a three year variance from a current law that
keeps dogs out of restaurants. Only restaurants that wanted to allow dogs would participate. The proposed law would not
give dog owners the right to bring their dog any restaurant they choose. Along with letting dogs dine al fresco,
the proposed law would also require participating restaurants to have $1 million worth of liability insurance to cover
possible biting incidents.

The following web page might be a bit harsh, but it gives dog lovers several reasons why they shouldn't even own dogs to begin with, let alone bringing them into restaurants.

I don't subject you to my smoke, why should I be subjected to your child screaming and throwing a temper tantrum in public. If the child is well behaved, such as the dog, then maybe both can be allowed in restaurants.

It amazes me how parents just sit there and block out all that noise and running around the tables while the rest of us suffer. I have actually seen parents smile at there kids while they do it as if it was cute!
If only the law could be easily enforced to allow only WELL-BEHAVED children and dogs it would be perfect.
And yes I can sympathize with those of you who have allergies although I think you need to get pretty close to the dander to sneeze. I wouldn't worry too much about it, CA doesn't seem to have that issue.

I myself would not eat in a restaurant that allowed dogs.I do not like dogs ,they stink when they get wet and they carry fleas and ticks that people can not see.
I myself seen a woman and a gentleman bring there dog to a patio and the dog put his drooling face on the table. When they left the waitress did not wipe the table off with anything. She then sat an elderly couple down at that table. I was disgusted and left.
I have neighbors that have dogs,I told them that I did not have a dog an I do not want any dog poop on my lawn .That went in one ear and out the other.
I have seen people take there dogs for walks and poop in someone's yard and never clean it up.They walk them early in the morning when no one notices.
People that are retired and have dogs as companions should get rid of the dog and go to a youth center and help some poor child out with the money they spend on a dog. Of course most of them are self centered and do not care about anyone else's feelings. They walk around with there noses up in the air like they think they own the world and what ever there little pets do is okay.
I worked at Siesta Key Beach and there is an ordinance that bans dogs or animals from the beach. You can not imagine how many people just bring them onto the beach like they owned it.Then you tell them to take the dog off the beach and they get all rowdy with you.
Just what I want to see when I am eating in a restaurant is a dog licking his private parts while I am eating and you are not going to tell me your dog doesn't do thatDOGS

The ones I really hate are the people that have these little Yorkshire terriers. They put them in there pockets or pocketbooks and bring them into the restaurant like no one will notice and sneak food into there pocketbook and feed them.
KEEP DOGS OUT OF RESTAURANTS THEY DO NOT BELONG THERE

You know if someone brings your food with hair in it it's disgusting! So why would you want to bring an animal that scratches their hair everywhere, barks, and beggs to a restaurant? Big or small it doesn't matter. (Smaller dogs do not get special privlages!) Not all dogs are well mannered and if you allow one you have to allow them all. Quit babying your dogs and leave them at home!
