The noble folks at King Arthur Flour are
doing their part to celebrate Mardi Gras and doing New Orleans a good turn at the same time. The Vermont company is
offering a King Cake kit that should help put the fat in your Fat
Tuesday party.
King Arthur will donate $2 to the Salvation Army's hurricane relief efforts for each kit it
sells through Fat Tuesday. Everything you need to whip up the traditional Mardi Gras treat — sweet dough mix,
almond paste filling, sugar glaze and yellow, green and purple sugar for decorating — is included in the kit
which sells for $18.95 or $17.95, if you purchase two or more.
Presumably you're expected to provide your own plastic baby to bake inside the treat. Call
(800) 827-6836 to get your kit.

It was just the ticket for Mardi Gras in Los Angeles! ;>
