Vegan sues McDonald's over fries

As you may have heard, McDonald's recently disclosed that their French fries contain ingredients derived from wheat and dairy. While the announcement was presented as an immediate concern for allergy sufferers, it was also a concern to vegans. A Los Angeles woman is now suing the fast food giant on behalf of all California McDonald's customers that avoid said ingredients for moral or health reasons. She is asking McDonald's reimburse any of the misled fry buyers of the last four years. McDonald's has yet to comment.

It may have a little more merit if someone who is allergic to wheat and/or dairy product and had a reaction to the fries.

As the previous commenter mentioned, Nadia Sugich of Los Angeles wouldn't have even been eating McDonald's fries because it is widely known that a percentage of the fat they are fried in is from cows.

"She is asking for the customers to be reimbursed for their french fry purchases in the filing, among other requests." -- do you keep your McDonald's receipts? I am assuming that "other requests" means a big payout for Nadia Sugich of Los Angeles?

These kinds of things provide NO benefit to anyone but the lawyers involved. Recently I received notification that I was eligible for a "reward" from one in which some moron couldn't figure out that the "Unlimited DVDs" in Netflix' advertising did not mean "Infinite DVDs". My reward? A free month's upgrade. Wooooooo! So, I get a $3 upgrade, and the lawyers in the case walk away with something like ten million dollars. This case will be no different. People shouldn't be rewarded for being idiots.

Oh, and Nadia, you ARE an idiot. If you were a TRUE vegan, you wouldn't be eating at McDonald's anyway simply because your beliefs wouldn't allow you to fund a business whose primary purpose is the sale of animal products.

They should be sued. You can't lie about your product and then expect not to pay for that.

From a previous commentor...

Not true. They stated a while back that they changed them.
