Selfridges (I much prefer Selfridges to Harvey Nicks by the way) is to play host to famed Chinese artist Song
Dong.
Who he? He is the chap who recreated traditional Chinese paintings out of fishheads and created a map
of the world out of fruit . His cityscapes made from biscuits and sweets caused a sensation in France and China but his
showing in Selfridges is planed to top them all in scale. Some tower blocks are to be up to 3ft high.
With
six assistants and over five days he plans to use an estimated 72,000 biscuits to construct everything from office
tower blocks, flyovers and roads to a sports stadium and municipal buildings. And then everyone can eat it.
The display will be on view in the Selfridges atrium from February 15th - 22nd.
