It's a long weekend, this one coming up (at
least for those of us in the US), so we have three, yes three! whole days to dedicate to cooking, baking, and
eating the letter D. We love your creativity and hopefully, by now you're deep in the throes of your recipe wrangling,
but just in case you're still looking for inspiration for Wednesday's Slashfood
theme day, here are a few tips on what D is for...
- D is for...Devil, but don't be afraid. Cake, crab, and eggs are all very good.
- D is for...Drupe, which is the botanical name for any type of fruit whose exocarp and fleshy mesocarp surround a hardened endocarp that protects the seed inside. In other words...a stone fruit.
- D is for...Deep Dish, and that's not just apple pie.
- D is for...Duck, Duck, Goose.
Last but not least, don't forget that D is for Dining out, and we'd love to see some restaurants that start with the letter D (and yes, I guess Denny's counts, but only if you get the Denver omelette).
