I'm
hesitant to refer to any hangover cure as "new," but the Hindustani Times recently ran a short piece entitled
"Toast and honey: the latest hangover cure
combo." Toasted bread with honey, as well as butter, can help speed hangover recoveries by replenishing your
body's supply of potassium, sodium and fructose, it says. Don't expect some bread and butter to totally get rid of a hangover, though. Your body still needs time to process and eliminate the residual toxins left by the alcohol. The article also notes a few other standard tips: moderate your drinking with non-alcoholic drinks and stick to more purified spirits such as vodka or gin.
