Now that December has begun, it is officially time to begin my countdown to Christmas. Call me sentimental, but I just love all the food, decorations and family things that go on at this time of year. Speaking of food, every year I have at least one advent calendar.
Advent calendars are, obviously, calendars. It is actually a symbol of the season of Advent, the time leading up to the celebration of Christmas. The calendars are designed so that each day has a little box or drawer that opens to reveal a small treat of some sort. The treat can be anything, but I usually go for the chocolate ones. This year, I picked up the Starbucks Advent Calendar, which is filled with dark and milk chocolate truffles and solid milk chocolate mini bars. I know that not everyone is a Starbucks fan, but even if you don’t like their drinks, their chocolates are often quite good. December 1st was a dark chocolate truffle. I can’t wait until tomorrow...

Thanks.
