Sorry about the poor quality of the illustration; it was taken with my camera phone and in not the most ideal of environments.
What is it? Well, I am glad you asked! The glass bit is actually a very warming winter cocktail - Pimm's Winter Warmer being the main ingredient, topped up with warm apple juice and garnished with an excess of apple and a sprinkling of cinnamon. The main part of the pic is of the bar with the three versions of Pimms now available - No6 (Vodka Cup), No1 Cup (which is gin) and the Winter Warmer version which is also gin based.
Pimms Winter Warmer was released last year - you can buy it in the UK from Waitrose I believe. What was the cocktail like? A bit like a fruity apple pie or mince pie. In fact served with a mince pie it would be superb.
The bar incidentally is my 'local' The Queens Head, Henley-on-Thames. Looks posh don't it. But what you can't see is a really naff snowman decoration sitting on the top shelf!
I hope to create a few more cocktails using the winter version of Pimms soon to add to my Pimms Cocktail page. Pomegranate juice might work... orange juice... a sparkling wine perhaps...
