There’s nothing like freshly chopped garlic to enliven a dish. Don’t even get me started on the pre-peeled or pre-chopped stuff in a can. It just doesn’t taste the same. And you know it.
But the fact is that we all hate to peel garlic. It’s such a pain, especially when you’re working on a small sliver. But wait, you say there’s a solution? Those rubber things that are sold at high end markets that almost instantly peels garlic just with a few rolls? Wait! Before you go out and buy one of those overpriced things, look around your house for anything that is flat and rubber. I found one of those jar openers that was handed to me free on the street. Wrap the rubber sheet over the garlic slice, and roll the slice back and forth while firmly making contact with the rubber. The garlic peel will easily come off. It’s simple, and no fuss.
