Holiday baking with Quaker Oatmeal

Quaker Oatmeal Holiday GuideI've been eating a lot of oatmeal lately. It's good for you (if you make it without all that sugar, of course), it's filling, and it's perfect for this time of year. Like a lot of people, I buy plain Quaker Oatmeal and add my own fruit or whatever, if I don't have it plain, and I'm also now buying their new Weight Control brand. No, not the one that's made "for women," wiseasses. I mean the one that's lower in calories and sugar than their other flavored oatmeal.

They've set up a web site that has a ton of cool Quaker Oatmeal recipes for the holiday season. The Mocha Chip Cheesecake Bars sound great (though there goes my diet for the holidays), and I might give the Easy Apple Custard Pie a try. They also have a gift section at the site, though it's not really gifts per se but tips on how to pack and ship food gifts you might make and gift tags for putting on them after they're wrapped. And how to keep the kids occupied.
