To be honest I have no idea if this could be useful; UK Food Blog Silverbrow on Food alerted me to the fact that it was operational with a 'recipe' section. I am talking about Google Base.
Back in October Silverbrow mentioned that Google Base, an online area where you can upload data of any description, will have this pre-defined area. Today TechCrunch has a review and is less than complimentary stating that "This is not a very interesting application in its current form. It’s like a 1985 dBASE file with less functionality. It’s ugly. It’s centralized content with less functionality than ebay or craigslist."
You can search Google Base for recipes - like a normal search engine I guess - and add your own via a series of pre-defined boxes. These boxes start with main ingredient, cooking time and cuisine and then a series of user defined attributes. Labels and a description are next. You can add a image too.
The result is as shown in the image - this one is Gyros from International Food Lover. I don't really see the point. If you have a need to post recipes would you not have a blog of your own and if you do why duplicate an entry? Perhaps someone can enlighten me?
