Home carbonation

carbonationIf you were a fan of Karina’s post this summer about opensourcing sodas, then you’ll probably want to have a look at Richard J. Kinch’s guide to home carbonation. If you’re really serious about carbonating your own beverages at home with CO2, then this is the place to learn. Even if, after browsing the site, you realize that investing in hoses, regulators and 20-pound CO2 tanks is a little much for a weekend project, you’ve still got to admit that Kinch’s site is impressive. Along with teaching carbonation techniques, the site has lengthy discussions of soda fountains, sweetened syrups and the dozen-or-so gas laws relevant to carbonation. Truly, this is a man with an informed love of soda.
