Mayonnaise

Stokes MayonnaiseNo sooner do I discover a truly delicious mayonnaise than it's picked up by the national newspapers. Not only do I rave about the new range from Stokes which uses top ingredients (salt from the Dead Sea for example) than so does the Sunday Times. The mayo uses extra-virgin olive oil and free-range eggs and was awarded a gold gong at the 2005 Great Taste Awards. There is also a herb infused mayo and one containing sun blushed tomatoes.

'the nearest thing to home-made that I have found' - so enthuses the Sunday Times. And I would agree; if I ever made mayonnaise at home!

Price from independents and delicatessens is £2.45.  Stokes also do a Real Tomato Ketchup which I am longing to sample.
