After my post the other day about how Americans are eating more and more seafood, Kelley at Chasing Rats Down The Interstate commented with a link to a post about a popular line of seafood ice creams in Taiwan. Created in 2003 by Liny Hsueh, the Dr. Ice line of ice cream combines the flavors of shrimp, cuttlefish, tuna and seaweed with fruit, mint, wasabi, peanuts and wine. Flavor combinations include pineapple shrimp and mango seaweed. In a recent Yahoo! News article, Hsueh says that scallops may be the next new flavor she experiments with.
