Many of your favorite bloggers from the Weblogs, Inc. network are headed to New York this weekend (those who don't already live there, that is). And the first thing I'm going to do when I get there early in the a.m. is head to Norma's at Le Parker Meridien for the $1,000 omelette.
OK, maybe this goes a little beyond my budget, but if I did manage to swing the thousand bucks - I could at least count it as a business expense on my taxes, right? After all, I'd report every last bite to you readers. The $1,000 omelette is so pricey because it contains 10 ounces of sevruga caviar, a whole lobster, and six eggs. According to the latest reports, the hotel has sold eight of these since the dish hit the menu last spring. You can make it at home, if you're cheap - depending on the market price of the caviar and lobster, you'll only spend about $700.

The omlette is way out of my league, but everything else I've had there has been delicious. You can check out their menu on menupages, at
