Once again, someone has shown that perhaps the best way to justify something unnecessary or excessive is to make it scientific. In this case, the folks at MyScienceProject.org have set out to make the strongest Jell-O shots possible. Too much alcohol prevents the gelatin from setting, and that’s where the method comes in. The group made batch after batch of shots, steadily replacing more of the water in the recipe with vodka until they finally reached the point at which the Jell-O wouldn’t set. What they came up with were shots that are about four times as strong as an average Jell-O shooter. Also, they found that the limit can be pushed even further by using sugar free Jell-O. Basically, what you’re getting is a shot of vodka with a little gelatin. That’s one way to get blinded by science. Pushing the limits of Jell-O shots
