I don’t know what it is about the weekend, but I always seem to get a craving for Eggs Benedict, especially when I’m traveling. This morning I was reading Brunch.org, and was thrilled to find they have a rating and review section set up specifically for Eggs Benedict found in restaurants in various locations across the world. I wish I had this list five years ago, but it is going with me whenever I travel now.
When I make my own at home, I actually prefer to use béarnaise sauce rather than hollandaise since I love the flavor of tarragon with eggs. The standard topping of ham/Canadian bacon is definitely good, but I try to mix it up and add smoked salmon, crab, asparagus, tomato, Gouda, or Brie instead.
