I was shopping at Costco this past weekend and they were featuring the new line of De’Longhi products. I usually try to steer clear of any new counter-top appliance since I already own far too many, but there was no way I could pass this one up. They were spotlighting their latest espresso/cappuccino maker, the Magnifica.
The unit itself is gorgeous, but the espresso it produced was far superior to anything I could possibly coax out of my machine at home. The thick crema was a perfect caramel color, and sat on top of the espresso without dissipating as we waited for the lady to steam some milk. She whispered that she was actually just covering for someone on a break and didn’t really know how to work the machine, so I was able to play around with it a bit – which was much better than watching someone else prepare it. Though it may appear complicated, this unit is so easy to figure out that we had mile-high frothy cappuccino in no time.
There are far too many features on this unit to list here, but they explain them all in detail on their website. The price is listed at $699.95 plus taxes, shipping, etc.etc. This is definitely going on my Christmas wish list.
