The world's most expensive cocktail can be had in good ol' blighty; just in time for Halloween too.Umbaba in the West End about to launch the £333 Magie Noir at its Voodoo Halloween party tomorrow. The club says the drink was initially commissioned by a couple of the club's most "influential and wealthy" members, but will now be available to all.
Giles Andreis, the head barman invented the Magie Noir using a shot of Richard Hennessy cognac, a measure of Dom Perignon vintage champagne and a dash of Crème de Mure. It also contains fresh imported lemon grass and lychees plus extract of yohimbe bark, an ancient herbal aphrodisiac from West Africa.
The
Magie Noir is presented in a crystal glass and with a cocktail pin of
24-carat white gold, created by top jewellery designer Tom Binns.
According to Tomatom Australia's most expensive cocktail is The BRW (Big Red One) Millionaire's Banquet at Transit at Transport Hotel in Melbourne. "It costs A$275, is enough for six-ten people and is served in personal mini shakers." The BRW comprises Tanqueray 10, Ketel One, Jose Cuervo de la Familia, Appleton Estate Reserve, Prunelle de Bourgogne Jacoulot and is presented with Red Wine Cabernet Sorbet ladled into Champagne Saucers.

Someone enlighten me as to what six-ten means? Sixteen? Sixty? If it's sixty, then it doesn't sound all too expensive...

My bottle of yohimbe says not to mix it with alcohol, supposedly because it's an MAOI. Research into the subject is actually not conclusive, since no one pays attention to yohimbe since the invention of Viagra.
