By next year, most McDonald’s products will have their nutritional information printed right on their wrappers. The packaging will apparently include icons and charts showing how McDonald’s food relates to daily dietary recommendations. Currently, if you want to find out the nutritional information for your Big Mac, you can go to the McDonald’s website or specifically request the information at the restaurant.
The first new wrappers are set to debut this February at McDonald's restaurants at the Olympic Winter Games in Turin, Italy.

They obviously don't care about flavor, why would they care about total saturated fat grams? They only way your Average Joe McDonalds eater will understand that is if they start printing "Eating this burger on a regular basis WILL KILL YOU" on the wrapper. And that still probably would't make a difference.

Since printing "Smoking Will Kill You" on cigarettes hasn't really had much of an effect on the tobacco industry, I doubt nutritional information will do much at McDonalds. Most folks will likely look at it and believe that since they have nutritional information, there must be some nutrition in it. Alas. I might even do this myself.

Ronald isn't forcing Big Macs down people's throats at gunpoint while claiming they'll cure cancer.
I think the clown is going above and beyond the call of duty with this one. Despite what the food fascists might say, some of us like to eat unhealthy junk on occasion... the operative phrase being "on occasion". But people who don't already know that you probably shouldn't be eating this every day have only themselves to blame.
In fact, the only people I can see being upset by this news are those who don't like the fact that this information will now be so blatantly obvious that they can no longer blame the big, bad corporation. The last time I checked, a standard-sized plate of deep-fried pork with potatoes from your local German restaurant wasn't terribly healthy and didn't come with any nutritional information, but you don't see anybody suggesting we should shut down the Brauhaus.
How about a little personal accountability? You don't like it, don't eat it. That simple.
