Sandwich archive

dagwood sandwichThe Sandwich Project is an archive of thousands of sandwich recipes and ideas. For roughly three years, Derren Wilson has been collecting sandwich suggestions from visitors to the site.

You can search the archive for sandwiches with a specific ingredient, give a list of what you have in the fridge, or view popular searches, such as “peanut butter and…”

Peanut butter seems to be that wild card that people will pair with anything: pickles, horseradish, mustard, Marmite.

Having worked in a sandwich deli, some of the stranger requests I saw were mashed avocado, black olives and sauerkraut on pita, and roast beef and butter on white bread. Put next to a peanut butter and marmite (PBM), roast beef and butter doesn’t sound too bad.

Whatever blows your skirt up, I guess.
