For a year, Dan McGee collected the rain in his backyard. He bottled it, and gave it to his friends. They liked it! It was better than other bottled waters! He tested it, and discovered that it was "cleaner than processed water that had been manipulated as long as eleven hours" and, even better, "Arsenic, Chlorine, Chromium 6, MTBE and Fluoride free."
And now, you, too, can buy rain. In a very pretty bottle. It's called "Oregon Rain" - A for design, D- for creativity. While I haven't yet tested the water (although I did snap a photo of said pretty bottles in my neighborhood organic market), I'm wondering if I should set some sterile sheets out in my backyard. I could call it, "Sarah's Oregon Rain."

Then there's that ridiculous practice of adding unnecessary fluoride chemicals into the water supply to reduce tooth decay. But then the acidy fluoride chemicals have to be balanced with lime or some other neutralizing agent.
On top of that the fluoride chemicals most used - silicofluorides are linked to children's higher blood lead levels - which can lead to more tooth decay.
I guess mother nature knows what's best for us sometimes.
