Cereal character museum

powdered toast manI recently discovered Topher’s Breakfast Cereal Character Guide. Exactly what it sounds like, this is an illustrated guide of cereal mascots, new and old, real and fictional. Aren’t they all fictional? Well, by fictional I mean mascots for fictional cereals, like Powdered Toast Man (pictured here).

There are, of course, the usual cereal suspects—Snap, Crackle and Pop; The Quaker Man; and Tony the Tiger. But then there’s Mrs. Tony, aka Mama Tony, the wife of Tony the Tiger. There’s also Antoinette, Tony’s daughter. This is all news to me. I never knew he had a family. Did you?

Cliffy the Clown, on the Sugar Smacks, is a fountain of nightmares too. I can see why they switched to Dig 'Em the Frog.
