Fried strawberries prove southerners WILL fry anything

fried strawberriesFried pickles... fried okra... fried Snickers bars. Those Southerners, they'll fry anything! Even... strawberries, as one blogger learned while visiting the North Carolina State Fair. Creative Catering of Raleigh (which takes its name very literally) also fries strawberry cobbler, apple cobbler, and "banana puddin' bites." (?) Andrea Weigl recommends the fried apple cobbler, about $5. [via BoingBoing.]

I have trouble believing Southerners are more creative with fried foods than Minnesotans. Fried cheesecake on a stick? Beat that, North Carolina.
