A fine turn out - from the formidable ranks of England's best food-bloggers (plus me) - for an impromptu gathering at one of London's best eating holes.
Organised by Pim of chezpim fame, who just happened to be in London researching 'future projects' myself and others snuggled down at St.John, Farringdon for an evening of chat, nibbles, drinks and, for those able to stay longer, a full meal.
The nibbles, for I couldn't stay for a full meal (although I have eaten here several times in the past) included bone marrow, pictured right - which was nice but overpowered, I thought, by the strong parsley/caper/shallot salad, (delicious in its own right), a spicily strong welsh rarebit and toast smothered with a superb anchovy paste.
Although it is always fun to meet the regular bunch, it was great to see some new faces this time; so thanks to Pim for organising.
The final picture shows all those attending tucking in heartily to the food. They are from left to right Todd from Massachusetts (LondonChef), Johanna (PassionateCook), Jenni (Pertelote), Tim (FireandKnives), Christina (Thorngrove Table) and Pim (ChezPim)
