Target is joining the premium chocolate market. Their new brand, the noxiously named Choxie (chalky?) features flavors usually seen in gourmet shops like Chile Limon Truffle Tiles, Toffee Almond Crunch and Chai Tea Truffle Temptations. These haven't popped up in my local Tar-jay yet but apparently they are in Michigan since Jon from the Chocolate Runner's blog got his hands on some and gave high marks to the Milk Chocolate Twisted Truffles. If you want to get your hands on the Choxie and not have to pay for it, head to Target on the afternoon of November 6. They are doing free tastings from 1-5 p.m. at all stores. You know that the whole chocolate-and-chile thing has reached maximum trend density when Target starts making chocolates with Ancho Chiles. What's next, hot and spicy M and M's? Actually, I think that would be kind of rad.
Target really wants you to taste their Choxie
