Burger King launches BK Joe

burger kingThis week Burger King officially released its new line of BK Joe coffee. Available in decaf, regular and “turbo strength” with extra caffeine, BK Joe is brewed from 100% Arabica beans and should be available in all BK locations by the end of November.

According to USA Today, BK Joe is Burger King’s attempt to keep up with the demands of the 80% of Americans that drink coffee. According to the National Coffee Association, 53% drink it every day.

10-15-2005 @9:40AM Mike said... Very, Very strange coffee. I don't usually do Burger King at breakfast, but it was between the gas station and the freeway.

I don't think I got the "turbo", I just asked for coffee. The lid had the little dimples on top to indicate what's in it ( like the soft drink ones do ), and it looks like no dimples pressed in equals regular.

What was strange was the flavor. It was coffee, but it tasted like coffee flavored coffee. Kinda like coffee flavored candies do. If I were to guess, it would be as if someone added some instant coffee to brewed coffee.

Supposedly the whole "Joe" stuff is 100% Arabica, but it didn't taste like any coffee I'd ever had before.

Not something I'm in a hurry to try again.
