Friday Happy Hour - lemon verbena drops

lemon verbena steepingAhh, lemon drops. One of the staples of the shots tray at the bars I frequented when I was 22. I'm a bit too old for them now. But lemon verbena drops? Now those sound like something a 32-year-old could get away with. Heidi at 101 Cookbooks posted a recipe for lemon verbena drops, and the lemon verbena-infused vodka you'll need to make them. She let her vodka infuse for 36 hours, but you could probably get away with 24 - and you'll be just in time for happy hour tomorrow.

For the drop, put 2 ounces lemon verbena vodka, a splash of limoncello, and some simple syrup in a shaker filled with ice. Shake, pour, and serve with or without sugaring your rims.
