Again, I’m hesitant to apply the term food porn to this one. I came across the food and restaurant photography of Michael Harlan Turkell a few years ago, first seeing his Back of the House Project on his website.
The 25 black and white photographs of restaurant staff in various states of disarray and repose totally captivated me and I've returned several times to look them over again.
Returning to Turkell’s site now, I see there have been several additions, including multiple color galleries of other food-service-related subjects.
The “Events” section comes the closest to the tension of the Back of the House Project, but I think I still prefer the black and whites of the latter.
