Testing Cookin' With Google

refrigerator Last month, fellow Slashfood contributor Keith McDuffee listed Cookin’ With Google in his list of top 25 food hacks.

I came across this site again today, and figured I’d give it a try. I’m not really concerned with how any of the recipes will turn out. Really, I just want to see how useful this can be for putting something together out of what’s in the fridge.

A search for eggs, ham and roasted peppers didn’t really return anything that amazing.

Parmesan, lima beans and lemons did better, with recipes like grilled vegetable flatbreads or lamb, artichoke and roasted potato salad. This last one would definitely require a trip to the store, but still, Cookin’ With Google has proven useful for inspiration at least.

Anybody discover any good recipes this way?
